Juventus are planning to solve their problems at left-back with the signing of Fiorentina's Juan Manuel Vargas this summer, according to Tuttosport. The Bianconeri's No 1 priority is to find someone capable of supplanting Fabio Grosso who hasn't made the impact expected of him this season. Tuttosport believes that any interest in Vargas is inextricably linked to Juventus's attempts to lure Cesare Prandelli away from Florence. Prandelli would also be the right man to get the best out of Felipe Melo - the Brazilian midfielder voted the worst signing of the season - who he had for one year at Fiorentina. As for Vargas, Tuttosport insists that Juventus won't have a problem finding an agreement with Fiorentina for two reasons. The Bianconeri apparently have between €40m and €50m to spend and their relations with the Viola are so good that it only took a week to tie up a deal for Melo last summer. |
